Steel is back! And this time, it's orange! Nashbar Signature 853 Mountain Frame. TIG-welded double butted Reynolds 853 air-hardened steel (legendary for its strength and liveliness) make up the main triangle while externally tapered 4130 chromoly makes up the rear stays. Externally butted head tube sheds weight without sacrificing strength. Rear IS disc-brake mount is trussed for extra strength. Dynamically shaped and tapered chainstays have enough clearance for a 2.3" rear tire and enhance lateral stiffness while still providing a compliant ride. As you've come to expect from Nashbar frames, there are no gaudy downtube decals, but the Reynolds 853 badge and chainstay signature are applied under the clear coat.
